P-1000 Electric Waste Tipper

Overview

The P-1000 Waste Tipper is a compact, fully electric utility vehicle built for waste collection in places a full-size refuse truck can't reach. At 1,350 mm wide and under 3.7 m long, it works comfortably on narrow paths, estates, campuses, parks and pedestrian areas, with a two-seat enclosed cab and a tipping waste body on the back. It runs on a 48 V AC drive with a 10 kW motor, reaches 50 km/h (31 mph) and climbs gradients of up to 25%.

Battery options

Three lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) batteries are available, each rated for 4,000 charge cycles. The larger the battery, the longer the range and the lower the load capacity, so the choice comes down to how far it travels against how much it carries.

Gross vehicle weight is 1,870 kg on every version.

Chassis and running gear

• Chassis: automotive-style heavy-duty steel frame with high corrosion resistance.
• Cab: aluminium frame with a painted moulded body.
• Drive: rear-wheel drive with electronic speed control and two driving modes.
• Suspension: fully independent double wishbone front with coil springs over hydraulic shock absorbers, and a rigid rear axle on leaf springs with dual hydraulic shocks.
• Steering: rack and pinion with electric power steering.
• Brakes: servo-assisted, with hydraulic discs at the front and hydraulic drums at the rear, a mechanical parking brake with safety sensor, and regenerative braking.

Cab and comfort

The cab is equipped more like a small van than a site vehicle. Standard equipment includes:

• Digital vehicle information screen
• Central locking with remote control and power windows
• Adjustable driver and passenger seats with integrated headrests and a central armrest
• Bluetooth and USB audio system, plus a 12 V and USB port
• Heater, in-cab lighting, sun visors and windscreen wash
• Rear view camera and parking sensor

Safety and lighting

• Three-point seat belts with a driver seat belt sensor
• Immobiliser and horn
• In-cab emergency stop switch
• Halogen high and low beam headlights with LED daytime running lights
• LED rear brake, position and reversing lights

Options

• Colour: white as standard, with red, yellow, orange or grey available.
• Climate: electric heater and air conditioning.
• Visibility and warning: amber LED beacon and reverse buzzer.
• Tyres: 165 R13C 94/92R in summer or winter specification.
