50D Electric Tow Truck.

The 50D is a compact, pedestrian-controlled electric tow truck for pulling trailers and carrying smaller loads around warehouses, workshops, factories and yards. It can tow up to 2,000kg on flat, level ground and carry up to 1,000kg on its deck. Its small footprint makes it easy to use in tight spaces.

The tiller head has forward and reverse butterfly switches, so it can be operated comfortably from either side. A horn is fitted on the head. For extra operator protection, if the truck makes contact with the operator while moving and the red button on the tiller head is pressed, it automatically travels in the opposite direction and then stops. A multi-tone reversing sounder with volume control and a flashing beacon on a pole, wired through the ignition, make the truck easy to spot on busy sites.

It is powered by a 1.5kW 24V motor with 225Ah batteries. Hydraulic brakes on both wheels, plus a motor brake on the drive motor, give confident stopping. Taper bearings in the front steering keep turning smooth and light. The tyre-filled wheels mean no punctures, and a key-operated isolator switch keeps the truck secure when parked. The built-in charger connects to any standard 13 amp socket, so no separate charging equipment is needed.

A multi-jaw tow hitch with pin is fitted as standard. A small removable cage with drop-down sides is also available for carrying loose items. The truck can be painted in any single colour of your choice.
