350AC Heavy-Duty Electric Tow Tug

The 350AC is a heavy-duty electric tow tug engineered for demanding industrial towing applications. With an impressive 7,000 kg towing capacity on flat, level ground, a powerful 8kW AC drive system, hydraulic power steering and a fully enclosed two-person cab, it provides serious towing performance while maintaining excellent operator control and comfort.

7,000 kg Towing Capacity

The 350AC is capable of towing loads of up to 7 tonnes on flat, level ground, making it an excellent choice for demanding material movement applications.

Despite its substantial towing capability, the vehicle maintains practical dimensions. Overall length is 2,350 mm including the tow hitch, while the body is 1,100 mm wide, increasing to 1,550 mm including the mirrors. Overall height is 1,895 mm, with an outer turning radius of 1,950 mm.

Powerful 8kW AC Drive System

At the heart of the 350AC is a powerful 8kW AC electric motor, driving through a gearbox and differential.

A fully electronic, fail-safe speed controller is operated by a foot control and provides configurable forward and reverse take-off speeds. Motor braking and vehicle speeds can also be set to suit individual site and customer requirements, allowing the vehicle's performance to be tailored to its working environment.

Hydraulic Power Steering

The 350AC is equipped with hydraulic power steering, helping provide controlled and responsive manoeuvring while contributing to its improved turning circle.

Road springs are fitted to both the front and rear axles, while 4.00 × 8 × 10-ply tyre-filled wheels and tyres provide a robust setup for demanding working environments.

High-Capacity 48V Battery

The 350AC is powered by a substantial 48V, 420Ah battery system, providing the capacity required for heavy-duty electric towing operations.

Charging is handled by a fully automatic single-phase charger with low-voltage start, providing a straightforward charging solution for day-to-day operation.

Four-Wheel Hydraulic Braking

For confident control of heavy loads, the 350AC features hydraulic brakes on all four wheels, complemented by a handbrake for parking.

The electronic controller also provides configurable motor braking, allowing braking characteristics to be adapted to the individual site and application.

Full Two-Person Cab

Operator comfort and protection are key features of the 350AC. The vehicle is equipped with a full steel, low-step cab with slam doors, sliding windows, a full windscreen with wiper and standard wing mirrors.

Inside, there are two semi-suspension seats with lap belts, making the 350AC suitable for carrying a driver and passenger.

As shown in the photographs on page 2 of the specification sheet, the cab provides an enclosed driving position with excellent visibility, while the low-step design provides convenient operator access.

The full dashboard is equipped with sealed rocker switches and a digital display providing the operator with important vehicle information.

A 7-pin rear socket is fitted for trailer lighting, together with a rear number plate light. Flashing beacons are also fitted to both the front and rear of the cab, while an adjustable multi-tone reversing sounder provides an additional warning when manoeuvring.

Versatile Towing Coupling

A multi-jaw towing coupling is fitted as standard, providing a practical connection for a variety of towing applications. Alternatively, the vehicle can be specified with a 50 mm ball-and-pin coupling.
