250AC Heavy-Duty Electric Tow Tug

The 250AC is a powerful heavy-duty electric tow tug designed for demanding industrial and commercial towing applications. With an impressive 12,000 kg towing capacity on flat, level ground, a 32kW AC motor and an 80V 500Ah battery system, the 250AC delivers substantial electric towing performance for operations where large and heavy loads need to be moved efficiently.

Combining high towing capability with hydraulic power steering, four-wheel servo-assisted hydraulic braking and a fully enclosed two-person cab, the 250AC is designed to provide dependable performance while maintaining operator comfort and control.

12,000 kg Towing Capacity

The 250AC is capable of towing loads of up to 12 tonnes on flat, level ground, making it one of the heavier-duty electric towing vehicles in the range.

The vehicle has an overall length of 2,896 mm and an overall width of 1,370 mm, with a 7,300 mm outside-to-outside turning circle. Maximum unladen speed is specified at 15 mph.

Powerful 32kW AC Motor

At the heart of the 250AC is a substantial 32kW AC electric motor, providing the power required for heavy-duty towing applications.

The fully electronic, fail-safe speed controller is operated by a foot control and allows the vehicle's performance to be configured to suit individual operating environments. Forward and reverse take-off speeds can be independently adjusted, along with maximum speed and motor braking characteristics.

This allows the 250AC to be tailored to specific customer and site requirements rather than relying on a single fixed performance setting.

80V High-Capacity Battery System

The 250AC is equipped with an 80V, 500Ah battery, providing the electrical capacity required for its high-powered AC drivetrain.

Charging is handled by a free-standing fully automatic charger, matched to the battery system and available for either single-phase or three-phase electrical supplies.

Hydraulic Power Steering

For easier control and manoeuvring, the 250AC features hydraulic power steering as standard.

Combined with the vehicle's robust chassis and 23 × 5 × 10-ply tyre-filled tyres, the steering system provides the operator with controlled handling when manoeuvring the vehicle and its load.

Four-Wheel Servo-Assisted Braking

Stopping performance is provided by hydraulically operated, servo-assisted brakes on all four wheels, giving the operator effective braking control when handling substantial loads.

A separate mechanical parking brake is fitted to secure the vehicle when stationary, while configurable motor braking provides an additional means of tailoring the vehicle's deceleration characteristics to the working environment.

Full Two-Person Cab

The 250AC is equipped with a low-step enclosed cab designed to provide good visibility and convenient operator access.

The cab features lockable slam doors, full windows for all-round vision, sliding door windows, a windscreen wiper, wing mirrors and an interior rear-view mirror.

Two semi-suspension seats are mounted on adjustable runners and fitted with retractable inertia lap belts, providing seating for a driver and passenger.

As shown in the photographs on page 2 of the specification sheet, the 250AC has a substantial enclosed driving compartment combined with a compact, purpose-built industrial towing chassis.

LCD Display & Operator Controls

The dashboard features sealed rocker switches for the vehicle's functions together with an LCD display providing essential operating information.

The display shows:

The indicators are operated from the steering column, with the horn button conveniently positioned on the end of the indicator stalk.

Full Road Lighting

The 250AC is equipped with a comprehensive road-style lighting system.

This includes a halogen headlight with integral side light, stop/tail lights, indicators and individual reverse and fog lights using sealed LED lighting units.

A flashing beacon is fitted to the roof and operated using a dashboard switch, while an adjustable multi-tone reversing sounder provides an audible warning when reversing.
