250/1000 XL Pedestrian Controlled Platform Truck

Overview

The 250/1000 XL is an electric, pedestrian controlled platform truck for moving heavy and bulky loads on foot with very little effort. It carries up to 750 kg on a one-piece timber deck measuring 1,296 mm by 710 mm, and at only 710 mm wide it fits along narrow aisles and corridors.

Drive and power

A 1,200 W SEPEX motor with a motor brake drives a rear axle with an integral differential, giving smooth, controlled pulling power under load. A Curtis SEPEX electronic controller manages the drive. Power comes from two sealed 12 V 130 Ah monobloc batteries, which need no topping up, and a combined battery and hour meter shows the charge level and running hours.

Controls

Everything is operated from the tiller head, so the operator walks with the truck and keeps full control at all times:

• Butterfly switch for forward and reverse
• Horn button
• Keyed ignition, supplied with two keys

Safety

• Tiller emergency reverse: if the button on the tiller head comes into contact with the operator, the truck automatically reverses for 1 m.
• Emergency stop: fitted as standard, it cuts all power to the truck.
• Motor brake: the truck is held by the motor brake when the drive is released.

Build

The load sits on a one-piece timber deck at a height of 400 mm. The three non-marking tyres are filled to make them puncture-proof, so they protect finished floors and remove the downtime of a flat. The truck is finished in red as standard, or in any single colour of your choice.

Typical uses

Warehouses and stores, factories and production lines, hospitals, hotels, schools and estates, and anywhere else that goods need moving regularly between buildings, bays or floors served by a lift.
