We recently supplied an Electric Blue SD Launch to a private residence, where it is used to get around the house and gardens.
For a private home, the right vehicle needs to be quiet, comfortable, easy to drive and able to handle lawns, gravel drives and garden paths, while carrying family and guests in comfort. The SD Launch ticks every box.
Room for the whole family
With seating for six on ergonomically designed cushioned seats, the SD Launch has space for family and guests to travel together, whether that's a trip to the bottom of the garden or a tour of the grounds. A rear storage basket provides handy space for bags, tools or garden supplies.
Quiet and clean
The SD Launch is powered by a 5 kW AC motor running on a 60 V system, designed for high torque and low noise. There are no fumes and very little sound, so it can be used close to the house, early in the morning or late in the evening, without disturbing anyone.
Built for gardens and grounds
- 220 mm of ground clearance helps it handle lawns, gravel and uneven paths.
- It climbs gradients of up to 20%, and anti-roll-back stops it rolling backwards when pulling away on a slope.
- The top speed is adjustable up to 40 km/h (25 mph), so it can be set to a gentle pace for garden paths.
- A 4.5 m turning radius makes it easy to manoeuvre around driveways, outbuildings and garden features.
Safe and easy to drive
Front disc and rear drum brakes stop the SD Launch within 5 metres, and automatic electronic braking adds extra control. LED headlights, indicators, a horn and a reversing buzzer make it safe to use after dark and around people.
Simple to charge
The 60 V 105 Ah battery gives a range of up to 60 km (37 miles), more than enough for daily use around a home and grounds. The charger plugs into a standard mains supply and fully recharges the buggy in around 10 hours, so it can simply be plugged in overnight.
Built to last
The SD Launch is built on a high-strength steel chassis with electrophoresis and powder-coat anti-rust treatment, designed to stand up to life outdoors in all weathers.
